Ray’s ball was in the left greenside bunker on #3 and he discovered that the white PVC fencepost interfered with his backswing.  What are his options?

From Rule 24-2(ii), Ray has two options:  1) he may lift the ball and drop it, with no penalty, in the bunker at the nearest point which affords relief from the interference or 2)  he may lift the ball and drop it, under penalty of one stroke, outside the bunker, keeping the point where the ball lay directly between him and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit as to how far behind the bunker the ball may be dropped.
